Danggui prawns
Alternate medicine in a meal. Old fashioned steamed prawn is jazzed up in a potent smelling and strong tasting herb - danggui. This is supposed to give vitality and whatever good you can think of. It is some form of nature's steroid so I felt high even without any liquor. Use in moderation or the prawn will loose its presence in the dish, plus it will send your pulse racing !
What you need :
3 slices of danggui
1 handful of dates
1 handful wolfberries ( I have a weakness for this berry because it is so pretty. The TCM man will say it is good for the eyes. )
2 cups of water
1 pinch of salt
1/2 kg of prawns, cleaned and deveined.
Boil the herbs for about 10 minutes before adding prawns. Once the little critters turn red and curls to a 'C' , turn off the heat and serve.
